Professor Carpenter joined the faculty in 2005, after prior years’ service at Penn State and at Miami University (Ohio) where for fifteen years he was department chair. He has been active in professional organizations, with service including Vice-President of the American Accounting Association, Vice-President of the Ohio Society of CPAs, and President of the Accounting Programs Leadership Group. He was also active in the accreditation process for accounting programs, administered by AACSB. His research has appeared in journals such as The Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, The Journal of Accountancy, and theCPA Journal.
